Hotels in Central London

To locate hotels and B&B guest houses in Central London please click on the required districts on the map below. A description of each district, detailing what type of accommodation can be found in the district and a list of nearby amenities and attractions, can be found below the map.

Bayswater
Situated north of London's great Hyde Park, Bayswater offers a great concentration of budget and mid-range accommodation.
Local amenities/attractions: Hyde Park; Marble Arch; Marylebone and Paddington rail stations. Minutes from Oxford Street and the West End.
Bloomsbury
Situated between Euston & Kings Cross to the north and the West End theatre district to the south, Bloomsbury offers a large number of budget to mid-range hotels and B&Bs.
Local amenities/attractions: British Museum; Euston and Kings Cross rail stations. Within easy reach of London's 'theatre land' and Covent Garden.
Chelsea
One of central London's more affluent districts, Chelsea offers mainly mid-range to luxury hotels and guesthouses.
Local amenities/attractions: Fulham Palace; Kings Road and Sloane Square for serious shoppers.
City & Docklands
Heading east from central London you arrive at 'The City' - the financial district of London. Although not in the centre of town, many attractions are nearby. Hotels and Bed and Breakfast guesthouses to suit all budgets are available.
Local amenities/attractions: Barbican Arts Centre; City of London; Museum of London; St.Pauls Cathedral; Tower Bridge and the Tower of London; London Bridge rail station.
Earls Court & Kensington
Another large concentration of budget to mid-range hotels and B&B guest houses can be found in the Earls Court and Kensington districts to the west of central London.
Local amenities/attractions: Earls Court Exhibition Hall; Kensington Palace and Gardens; Natural History Museum; Olympia Exhibition Hall; Royal Albert Hall.
Euston & Kings Cross
Situated on the northern fringes of central London, the Euston and Kings Cross districts offer more hotels in the budget to mid range bracket.
Local amenities/attractions: British Library; Euston and Kings Cross rail stations; Madame Tussauds; the Planetarium; Regents Park & London Zoo.
Knightsbridge
Knightsbridge contains some of the most expensive real estate in London and this is reflected in the price, and standard, of hotels in the district. It is also the hub of London's most exclusive shopping experience.
Local amenities/attractions: Harrods and Harvey Nichols for shopping; Hyde Park and Kensington Palace & Gardens are just a short walk away, as is the Royal Albert Hall.
Notting Hill
Popularised by the film of the same name, Notting Hill is a quieter district of north-west central London. Situated to the north-west of Hyde Park and to the north of Kensington, hotels and bed and breakfast guest houses in all price ranges can be found.
Local amenities/attractions: Holland Park; Portobello Road Market.
Victoria
Along with Bayswater and Bloomsbury, Victoria offers the greatest concentration of budget to mid-range hotels and B&B guesthouses in Central London. Major tourist attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament are within easy walking distance.
Local amenities/attractions: Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament; Buckingham Palace; Tate Gallery; Victoria coach and rail stations; Westminster Abbey; Whitehall.
Waterloo & the Southbank
Situated on the south bank of the River Thames, Waterloo offers limited accommodation to suit all pockets. Don't let the fact that it is south of the river put you off - all major attractions north of the river are just minutes away (and it now has a few attractions of it's own).
Local amenities/attractions: London Aquarium; the London Eye; National Theatre and Southbank Centre; Tate Modern Art Gallery; Waterloo rail station (for Eurostar trains to the continent).
West End
And last, but definitely not least, the West End - the heart of central London. Again, because of the high price of real estate in the area, expect to pay more for your hotel - but expect to receive the benefits and services that top-end hotels afford. As you would expect, all major attractions are within easy reach.
Local amenities/attractions: Chinatown; Covent Garden; Leicester Square, National Gallery; Nelsons Column; Oxford and Regent Streets for shopping; Soho; Trafalgar Square...
